Genre: Self help

Quoting from the back cover:
"Ever-searching, never finding, we continue a never-ending journey, hunting for happiness. New scientific research has shown that the way we think causes us to be unhappy. Modern gurus, like Eckhart Tolle, exclaim the blissful state of 'no-thoughts'--the power of now. But the directions and instructions for getting there are lacking. Unclog Your Happiness is a practical and simple guide to reaching that place--using meditation and self-inquiry to shut down the brain's happiness-inhibiting default network--and reclaiming the ultimate blissful existence.
"With the techniques in Unclog Your Happiness, you will be able to:
-Remove stress and eliminate fears
-Overcome anxiety and depression
"Finally, learn how to experience the power of now and live life peacefully and blissfully."
There are many self-help books on the subject of happiness and how to obtain it. Does this book provide us with any new, significant insights into this mystery? I think not, but on a positive note, the guidance is presented in a logical, concise, brief manner with sincere intent. The book is well written and well edited.
On the subject of happiness, Abraham Lincoln said, "People are as happy as they make up their minds to be." Buddha said, "Be ye a light unto thyself." And John Smith, a journalist, wrote, "Meditation is like practicing to be dead." So many perspectives. If it works for you, that's all that matters.
